Your order is important to us and therefore, when your oak beam is ready, we always send it out on a ‘next day’ service if before 1pm.
FedEx UK
A national division of FedEx is used to transport all items up to 2000mm in length and up to 50kg in weight.
This covers all oak beams on this website.
Your oak beam will be well packaged using bubble wrap and a purpose made cardboard box.
Delivery is normally between 8.00am and 6.00pm, however, most deliveries are between normally 9.00am and 5.00pm.
A signature is not always required upon delivery.
It is unlikely that your oak beam will be damaged but we would we ask that the package is checked for any damage and if necessary, note this to the driver and delivery note.
We would ask that any shortages, damages or discrepancies should be made in writing to Oak By Design by email jf@oakbydesign.couk within 1 business day.
What to Expect
If you wish, you can collect your goods from our workshop (YO26 7QJ).
We will advise you on our opening times, the weight of goods and offer help and assistance where needed.
Your goods are always delivered based on the most economical and safest system.
Sometimes you may have a choice and therefore we will always provide the options and their criteria.
Acceptance of Goods

A signature is not always required to accept the goods and that they have arrived in good condition. Any damage to the packaging must be indicated on the delivery note at the time of delivery and reported, in writing to Oak By Design by letter or email within 24 hours.
Checks should also be made to the number of goods been delivered. We would ask that any shortages, damages or discrepancies should be made in writing to Oak By Design by email jf@oakbydesign.couk within 1 business day.
Return of Goods
All oak beams are made to measure and therefore can only be returned if they have been damaged in transit or are not a true representation of the photos emailed to you prior to despatch.
